The Overedge Connector Plugin is an open-source WordPress plugin designed to facilitate integration between WordPress and React frontends. Key features of the plugin include automatic registration of custom post types such as testimonials, team members, and FAQs, each with full REST API exposure. It also configures Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) field groups for these post types without manual intervention. To support cross-origin requests from React frontends, the plugin manages CORS headers, ensuring that content can be fetched securely and reliably across domains. Additionally, it provides a health endpoint at /wp-json/overedge/v1/health, allowing for straightforward connection monitoring and status checks.

The Overedge Connector Plugin is installed automatically when a site is connected via the Overedge dashboard, streamlining the setup process and removing the need for manual configuration. Manual installation is available during the beta period. The plugin is open source and released under the GPL v2 license, with its source code accessible on GitHub.
