FuelFit

FuelFit is a local-first nutrition tracker and AI diet coach. It addresses the need for accurate dietary analysis and personalized guidance while maintaining complete control over health data through on-device operation with no accounts, servers, or tracking.

Users snap a photo of a meal to receive instant estimates of calories, macros including protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber, plus sugar, sodium, and hydration levels. The tool calculates a daily FuelScore from zero to one hundred based on calorie adherence, macro balance, micronutrient coverage, meal regularity, and satiety quality, with calories derived from macros using Atwater factors. It provides personalized feedback and actionable suggestions tailored to goals of maintaining, losing, or gaining weight. Coaching can be toggled off to use template-based suggestions that run entirely on the device. An AI badge appears only when feedback comes from an external provider. Additional capabilities include streak tracking, weekly digest summaries, and visual trend analysis through charts.

The application supports multiple AI providers for photo analysis and coaching, such as Qwen from Alibaba Cloud, OpenAI, Mistral, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint via a custom provider setup. Users supply their own API keys, which connect directly from the device over HTTPS; keys are stored securely using iOS Keychain or Android Keystore and never in plain text or IndexedDB. FuelFit is fully localized in English, Simplified Chinese, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Korean. It includes iOS widgets for daily nutrition rings and hydration data along with theme options of light, dark, and Pulse mode. All daily logs are stored locally in IndexedDB.

FuelFit has no subscription fee. Users pay their chosen AI provider directly with typical annual costs around 0.69 USD for Qwen and 1.45 USD for OpenAI. It is developed by Samuel Hu.
