Claudx

Claudx is a macOS desktop app that brings a Codex-style workflow to Claude for local project work. It is built for Mac users on Apple Silicon and centers on keeping Claude conversations, local folders, and a terminal in one place during technical work.

The app opens local directories as folder-backed projects and ties thread history directly to those projects. Each project keeps persistent threads with streaming responses, attachments, and Claude session state. Claudx also separates streamed text, thinking, tool activity, follow-up, completion, and error states as messages arrive. Additional features include reorder, rename, delete, and deep links for projects; syntax-highlighted code blocks; copy actions; file chips; thumbnails; expandable traces; and built-in slash-command flows such as /plan, /compact, /init, /pr-comments, and /debug.

Claudx includes rich attachment handling for project files, drag-and-drop assets, file picker uploads, and pasted clipboard images. It also provides per-thread terminal sessions with sticky scrollback, docked and full-screen modes, and read-only thread stats. The app offers model controls for Claude Opus 4.6, Sonnet 4.6, and Haiku 4.5, with low, medium, or high thinking. The interface is intended for focused technical work rather than tab juggling, and it keeps projects, messages, drafts, and settings stored locally in SQLite-backed storage.

Delivery is through a downloadable Apple Silicon DMG, and the product is described as a macOS-focused Tauri desktop app. Claudx offers two free projects before a one-time unlock is required to access additional projects.
