Claudoscope is a native macOS menu bar application designed for users of Claude Code and Cowork sessions who want to explore, analyze, and manage their sessions locally. It provides real-time tracking and analytics of Claude Code activity, focusing on cost monitoring, security, and configuration management, all without transmitting any user data off the device.

The tool enables browsing, searching, and tracking costs across all Claude Code sessions, aggregating token usage and mapping it to Anthropic or Vertex AI pricing. Users can visualize session spending patterns and usage over time, with real-time monitoring that leverages macOS FSEvents for near-instant detection of changes in Claude project files. Claudoscope also reads and presents configuration details from settings files, including permissions, memory, and custom slash commands, in an organized layout. It supports both Claude Code and Cowork sessions, consolidating data from the Claude desktop app and providing a unified view with cost analytics.

Security is a central feature, with Claudoscope offering automated detection of leaked API keys, tokens, and credentials within session data using entropy-based filtering to reduce false positives. md files, skills, and hooks for structural issues, as well as session checks for runaway costs and excessive token usage. Its one-click security hardening installs a layered security baseline into the user's Claude configuration directory, implementing hard-deny rules, sandbox isolation, pre/post-tool hooks, and drift detection through 11 specific lint checks. These security measures are reversible, allowing users to back up and restore previous states as needed.

Claudoscope is delivered exclusively as a native macOS application and can be installed via Homebrew or by direct download. It operates entirely locally, with no servers, network requests, or telemetry, ensuring user privacy. The software is free and open-source, released under the MIT license, and is compatible with any Claude Code deployment, including enterprise API setups.
