yeet.md

yeet.md·Notes & docs

yeet.md is a free Markdown sharing tool for turning pasted text into a public link. It creates an immutable snapshot when content is published, and that snapshot can be read by anyone with the URL. Publishing requires no account, signup, or email.

The editor includes live preview while typing, syntax highlighting for code blocks, KaTeX math, callouts, embeds, and instant sharing via compressed URLs. It also supports CommonMark and GitHub-flavored Markdown features including tables, task lists, fenced code, footnotes, and strikethrough. Additional supported formatting includes Mermaid diagrams, Obsidian-flavored callouts, highlights, wikilinks, frontmatter rendered as a property card, Discord-flavored spoilers, underline, subtext, emoji shortcodes, and auto-embeds for YouTube and X/Twitter URLs in image syntax. Published content is immutable; to change it, a new snapshot is published, and a delete token saved in the browser can later be used to unpublish.

The service can be used through its website, where the editor offers actions such as copy as Markdown, copy as HTML, copy preview, download Markdown, print PDF, and save in browser. The page also refers to an API, and says a browser extension is available for Chrome and Firefox, along with an Obsidian plugin that publishes the active note. Published snapshots are public, indefinite unless deleted or removed for terms-of-service violations, and are rate-limited to 100 publishes per IP per hour. Content must be at least 3 characters and at most 500 KB per snapshot.
