WCAGdesk

WCAGdesk is a service that performs continuous monitoring of websites against WCAG 2.2 AA standards. It generates timestamped, cryptographically verifiable Accessibility Conformance Reports to support compliance with the European Accessibility Act and Germany's BFSG.

The platform builds a defensible audit trail by producing monthly reports that include RFC 3161 timestamps from a trusted authority, SHA-256 hash chains, and detailed findings categorized as critical, serious, moderate, or minor. Sample outputs are provided as PDF/A-2b documents that reference specific standards such as EN 301 549 V3.2.1 and BFSG § 12. It offers a free initial scan without requiring signup, along with an exposure calculator, methodology documentation, and a free statement generator. A sample report for a domain shows partial conformance with zero critical findings over a defined period.

Targeted at EU ecommerce operators facing enforcement of accessibility rules, the service emphasizes proof of due diligence that can be presented in response to legal challenges. Scans are identified by unique numbers and include verification timestamps. Delivery occurs through a web-based interface with options to view reports, download samples, and access supporting resources such as a glossary and WCAG fixes information. Additional features like an AdES seal under eIDAS are noted as planned for a future quarter.
