VeloIMG is a WordPress plugin designed to optimize images by generating WebP and AVIF formats from original JPG and PNG files. It targets WordPress site administrators who seek greater control over image optimization without altering original files. The plugin creates derivative images in a separate storage area and provides administrators with clear oversight of what has been generated, what remains unsaved, and what is actually delivered to site visitors.

Key features of VeloIMG include controlled generation of WebP and AVIF images, mass processing of entire media libraries or selected folders, and separate handling for each image format. The plugin allows users to pause and resume large batch operations, ensuring that progress is not lost during processing. It also includes diagnostic tools for checking what image formats visitors receive on any given page and provides detailed statistics, including reasons for skipped files and quality control measures. For image delivery, VeloIMG offers two modes.
