Uptrue Monitor

Uptrue Monitor is a plugin-based security and health monitoring tool designed specifically for WordPress sites. It addresses the limitations of external uptime monitors by scanning from within the WordPress environment, enabling detection of threats and compromises that are invisible to external tools. The plugin identifies issues such as file injections, rogue administrator accounts, tampering with critical configuration files, outdated plugins and themes, foreign-language content injections, brute force login attempts, and misconfigurations like exposed debug mode or weak security settings.

The tool operates by installing a free plugin in the WordPress site, which can be set up in under two minutes without requiring any inbound ports. Each issue detected is accompanied by an AI-generated, plain-English explanation and step-by-step remediation instructions tailored for site owners rather than developers. The tool also provides a live health score dashboard, updating the site's score (on a 0–100 scale) after each scan, allowing users to track security trends over time. Additionally, users can generate on-demand AI security reports that explain the current state of their site.
