Uptime Monitor is an open-source, self-hosted infrastructure monitoring platform designed to provide real-time insights into the status and health of a wide range of services. Built for users who require privacy and control over their monitoring data, it enables organizations to track the uptime and performance of websites, databases, game servers, email servers, and more, all within their own infrastructure.

The tool delivers instant status updates using WebSocket connections, eliminating polling delays and ensuring that changes are reflected as they happen. Uptime Monitor offers customizable status pages with 15 different themes, responsive layouts, and options for public or password-protected access. Users can organize their monitors into hierarchical groups, each with customizable health strategies such as any-up, all-up, or percentage-based thresholds. For added flexibility, each monitor can track up to three custom numeric metrics, such as player counts or memory usage.

Alerting is supported through multiple channels, including Discord, Email, Ntfy, Telegram, and Webhook, with notifications for downtime, ongoing issues, and recovery events. The platform supports distributed monitoring by allowing the deployment of PulseMonitor agents across multiple regions, enabling checks from various geographic locations simultaneously. Historical data retention includes raw pulse data for 24 hours, hourly aggregates for 90 days, and daily aggregates indefinitely, all managed using ClickHouse for high-performance storage.

Uptime Monitor supports monitoring across 17 protocols out of the box, including HTTP/HTTPS, WebSocket, TCP/UDP, ICMP (Ping), SNMP, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Redis, SMTP/IMAP, DNS, and both Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft servers. Configuration is handled through simple TOML files, and the system supports hot reloads, allowing users to update monitors, intervals, or groups without restarting the service.
