Termly

Termly is a free platform designed to bridge terminal-based AI coding assistants to mobile devices, enabling developers to access and control their coding workflows from iPhone, iPad, or Android. The tool allows sessions from AI assistants such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Qwen Code, GitHub Copilot, Grok, Cursor, and OpenAI Codex to be mirrored in real time on mobile, with the code execution remaining on the user's desktop or laptop. This setup addresses the need for developers to interact with their AI coding tools remotely and flexibly, without being tied to their primary workstation.

The system operates through a CLI installed on the user's development machine, compatible with Mac, Windows, or Linux. After installing the CLI via npm, users can start their preferred AI coding assistant in the terminal and generate a QR code, which is scanned by the Termly mobile app to establish a secure, mirrored session. The platform supports instant setup, requiring minimal configuration, and is designed for rapid onboarding in under a minute. Features include speech-to-code functionality, allowing voice commands to trigger coding actions such as refactoring, committing, or debugging, making hands-free interaction possible.

Security is a core aspect of Termly's architecture. The platform employs AES-256-GCM encryption for all data transmitted between devices, with Diffie-Hellman key exchange ensuring secure session keys. Each session uses new encryption keys, providing forward secrecy and protecting past sessions even if a key is compromised. Termly's servers act solely as a zero-knowledge relay, transmitting only encrypted data without the ability to decrypt or access user code. Session data is automatically deleted after 24 hours, and terminal content is never logged.

Termly is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play, supporting iOS (including iPad with features like Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil compatibility) and Android devices. The service is entirely free to use, with no subscriptions, ads, or paywalls.
