Techbox Login Security is a WordPress plugin designed to strengthen the login process for WordPress sites. Its primary focus is on protecting the standard WordPress authentication flow, including the wp-login.php form and classic WooCommerce My Account or checkout login pages, from unauthorized access and brute-force attacks.

The plugin enforces login attempt limits with configurable maximum attempts, time-based lockouts, a failure-decay window, and an escalating long lockout for repeat offenders. This approach helps prevent repeated unauthorized login attempts by locking out users who exceed the set thresholds. Additionally, Techbox Login Security offers IP access lists, allowing administrators to specify allow and deny lists. The allow list can bypass login attempt limits, providing flexibility for trusted users or systems. The tool also features activity logging, enabling operators to monitor login-related events and maintain oversight of authentication activity.

For sites operating behind proxies, the plugin includes an optional, opt-in feature to trust the X-Forwarded-For header for proxy-aware client IP detection. This ensures accurate identification of client IP addresses when requests pass through intermediate servers.
