PROLIB

PROLIB is a library management system designed to meet the needs of contemporary libraries in Poland. The platform offers a suite of tools and services aimed at automating library processes such as managing loans, readers, and collections, as well as acquiring and cataloging documents. It enables libraries to share their catalogs online and provides users with the ability to search for and access specific documents via the internet.

The system includes a multi-search engine called INTEGRO, which supports full-text search, query suggestions, and ready-made filters, making it easier for users to locate resources. PROLIB also features dedicated solutions for managing scientific staff bibliographies and regional bibliographies. Its integration capabilities allow for cooperation with other libraries through bibliographic data exchange and interlibrary loans, as well as with institutional systems such as dean's office management, electronic payments, warehouse logistics (including SelfCheck and book vending machines), and electronic resource services like EBSCO, iBukLibra, Wolne Lektury, and BIBLIO ebookpoint.

Mobile access is provided through the mPROLIB application, enabling users to interact with library services from their phones. This app allows users to follow library news, reserve or order materials, and browse the catalog from any location. The tool also supports a range of e-services, including ordering scans and photocopies, remote borrowing, payment processing, and access to electronic resources. Libraries can also implement the PROLIB Cloud service, which delivers the system as Software as a Service (SaaS).

Security and data protection are emphasized, with features for access control, permissions management, transaction histories, and compliance with RODO requirements. The system supports RFID technology for collection security and automation. PROLIB provides Polish-language support for librarians, including online documentation, a service desk, and access to experienced consultants and engineers. Training is available through an online education platform offering various courses for library staff. The system is developed and delivered by Sygnity Business Solutions.
