Speakwerk

Speakwerk is an open-source tool for macOS designed to facilitate local voice-to-text workflows. It enables users to start voice dictation with a configurable global hotkey, transcribe their speech locally on Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later, and automatically insert the resulting text at the current cursor position. The tool is intended for users who require efficient, privacy-focused voice transcription integrated directly into their workflow.

A key feature of Speakwerk is its reliance on local processing using WhisperKit, ensuring that both audio data and transcripts remain on the user's device.
