Consentify

Consentify offers a command-line migration tool designed to help users switch their websites from existing consent management solutions to Consentify with minimal manual intervention. The tool is intended for those managing projects that currently use consent tools such as Cookiebot, OneTrust, CookieYes, Iubenda, Usercentrics, and others. By automating the migration process, it reduces the time and effort required to update consent banners and scripts across single sites or multiple client projects.

The migration tool operates by reading the project’s codebase to detect which web framework is in use. It identifies the appropriate file for placing the Consentify banner, ensuring the new script is inserted in the correct location. The tool then removes scripts and configurations associated with previously used consent tools. If no consent tool is detected, it sets up Consentify from scratch. In addition to updating the banner, the migration tool preserves existing analytics and marketing tracking setups, configuring them within Consentify so that tracking remains properly gated behind user consent.

To use the tool, users run a single command from their project folder, leveraging an npm package. The process is designed to be efficient, handling tasks that would otherwise require manual editing of code and configuration files. The tool also supports creating a Consentify domain after a one-time login. This approach aims to streamline compliance updates for regulations such as GDPR, ePrivacy, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and PIPEDA.
