Mascotly AI enables website owners to add a conversational mascot to their site, allowing visitors to interact with a branded persona through voice or text. The mascot is designed to answer questions, guide users to relevant sections, scroll to specific areas of a page, and facilitate real-time conversations that feel natural. The tool aims to humanize websites, engage visitors, and help them quickly find the information they need.

To set up a mascot, users provide their website URL, mascot name, a brief personality description, email, and an image. Mascotly AI then uses a crawler to scan the most visited pages (such as home, pricing, documentation, and FAQ) and compiles a knowledge base and structured page index from the extracted content. This information is stored on Mascotly AI's servers, enabling the mascot to provide accurate and context-aware responses to visitor queries. Once the mascot is ready, users receive a script tag (HTML code) to embed on their website, compatible with custom code blocks in popular website builders like Squarespace, Webflow, and Wix. Visitors can engage with the mascot by tapping a bubble on the site and starting a conversation.

Mascotly AI is powered by GPT-Realtime-2, a voice model from OpenAI with GPT-5-class reasoning capabilities. The mascot can understand context, call tools in parallel, recover from interruptions, and adapt to a preconfigured personality. It supports live, real-time conversations and can continue discussions even as users navigate between different pages of the site. Currently, the mascot primarily guides users to main pages and sections, with ongoing improvements planned for deeper content navigation. Updating the mascot's knowledge base requires creating a new mascot after significant website changes, although a refresh function is in development.
