SessionCast

SessionCast is a tool that lets users continue AI CLI terminal sessions from their mobile devices. It addresses situations where developers must step away from an ongoing AI coding agent such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, Cursor or Ollama yet still want to monitor progress and issue commands in real time.

The service streams terminal output to a smartphone browser using WebSocket technology that delivers under 50 ms latency. It provides a responsive terminal UI designed for mobile, supports full keyboard input so additional instructions can be sent to the AI agent, and compresses data with GZip to limit mobile usage. Multiple sessions can be managed and switched between from one interface. Access is restricted through Google OAuth2 authentication.

Common use cases include monitoring AI CLI activity, observing CI/CD pipelines and Docker builds, checking deployment logs, and sharing terminals for remote pair programming or code review. Setup requires three steps: sign up with a Google account, generate an Agent token from the dashboard at account.sessioncast.io, and install the Agent on a PC. Installation scripts are supplied for macOS, Linux and Windows.

The tool is delivered as a web console at app.sessioncast.io paired with a downloadable Agent binary. A free plan is available. SessionCast is released under the MIT License and provided as-is, with users responsible for securing their own deployments.
