Sealium

Sealium offers an API for validating electronic signatures, certificate chains, and timestamps on digital documents. Designed to ensure document authenticity and compliance, it is eIDAS compliant and powered by EU DSS. The service targets scenarios where users need to confirm who signed a document, when it was signed, and with which certificate, all through a single API call.

The API supports a range of trusted document formats, including PDF, KRX, ASiC-E, ASiC-S, XAdES, JAdES, PAdES, and CAdES, as well as all eIDAS formats. It can process files up to 50MB and does not store uploaded documents, ensuring that files are never saved on the platform. Validation includes cryptographic signature integrity, certificate chain verification, OCSP revocation status, qualified timestamps, and checks against the eIDAS trust list. The system is TLv6 ready and covers 31 EU member states.

Sealium returns a detailed, audit-ready report with each validation, providing information such as the validity of the signature, the signature level, signer name, signing time, certificate chain, and timestamps. The full response can include over 40 fields, enabling comprehensive insight into document trustworthiness. Validation is performed quickly, with results available in approximately 300 milliseconds.

The service is delivered as an API, requiring no infrastructure management or certificate configuration by the user. A free tier is available, allowing up to 100 validations per month without requiring a credit card. Sealium is suitable for organizations or developers needing automated, compliant document validation within the European regulatory landscape.
