Scolta AI Search is a WordPress plugin designed to provide search functionality powered by artificial intelligence, without the need for external search servers. This plugin constructs a static inverted index at the time content is published, enabling search operations to be performed entirely within the browser using a WebAssembly (WASM) search engine. As a result, it does not require Elasticsearch, Solr, or any external search service, making it compatible with managed WordPress hosting environments that do not allow custom server processes. Scolta AI Search supports optional AI-driven query expansion and result summarization, with integrations available for Anthropic, OpenAI, or self-hosted AI models. The search scoring is configurable, allowing site administrators to adjust parameters such as title match boost, content match boost, and recency decay curves to influence ranking behavior.

The plugin provides a [scolta_search] shortcode, which enables the embedding of its search user interface on any page within a WordPress site.
