SandyWP Cloner

SandyWP Cloner is a WordPress plugin that copies a live site into a disposable sandbox hosted by SandyWP. It addresses the need for safe testing of plugins, themes, and updates or for providing clients with an isolated playground without affecting production data or performance.

The plugin performs the clone with a single click and runs in the background. It packages the database and wp-content directory into a single archive, then uploads the archive securely to a SandyWP account. For larger sites it uses resumable direct-to-storage uploads. SandyWP then installs a clean copy of WordPress core, restores the site's content, and rewrites URLs. A live progress screen displays each step, and the process continues even if the browser page is closed. Upon completion the new sandbox URL appears together with a one-click admin login.

The plugin is delivered through the official WordPress.org plugin directory and requires an active SandyWP account. Connection happens through a one-click button or by pasting a personal API token. It is intended for developers and agencies that need temporary, throwaway environments for experimentation or demonstration.
