RockWorks

RockWorks is software for creating 2D and 3D maps, logs, cross sections, geological models, volume reports, and general geology diagrams. It is described as a standard tool for the environmental, geotechnical, petroleum, and mining industries, with use centered on surface and subsurface data visualization.

The program includes tools for maps, logs, cross sections, fence diagrams, solid models, and volume calculations. It also accepts data such as stratigraphy, lithology, downhole geochemistry, geophysics, geotechnical measurements, color intervals, fractures, and aquifer data. RockWorks can display graphic output in built-in 2D and 3D viewing and editing windows, export to CAD, Google Earth, and other GIS programs, and use the ReportWorks module to create page layouts for reports and posters. It also supports data migration from gINT software.

RockWorks is offered in perpetual and annual license types. The product page lists three feature levels: Basic, Standard, and Advanced. Basic includes all Utilities programs and Borehole Manager maps, logs, and log sections. Standard adds Borehole Manager modeling for lithology, stratigraphy, geophysical, geochemical, geotechnical, aquifers, colors, and fractures. Advanced adds SQL-server database support, scripting for program automation, and Borehole Manager petroleum production diagrams, along with unlimited playlist items and faults. The pricing shown ranges from $860 to $6,000.
