For live television, Rivulet accommodates IPTV through M3U and XMLTV sources, as well as Plex Live TV, and provides an electronic program guide to help users navigate available programming. The tool is equipped with Dolby Vision support, including Profile 7 conversion, HDR10 passthrough, and direct play capabilities, ensuring high-quality video playback for compatible displays.

Audio integration is a core feature, with first-class AirPlay routing to HomePod speakers and built-in latency compensation for synchronized sound. Rivulet also offers comprehensive subtitle support, handling SRT, ASS/SSA text subtitles, and PGS and DVB bitmap subtitles with full styling options. Multi-user functionality allows switching between Plex user profiles on shared servers without the need for repeated authentication, making it suitable for households with several users.
