Relay addresses the challenge of fragmented project context across multiple AI tools by capturing and synchronizing decisions, tasks, and project briefs from various AI chat platforms and coding agents. It is designed for users who interact with AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek, and coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, Antigravity, and others. The tool automatically extracts and saves relevant information—such as decisions, tasks, and constraints—from AI conversations without requiring manual input.

Through its Chrome extension and integration with IDE agents via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Relay ensures that project briefs and context are updated and accessible across different sessions and tools. This cross-surface synchronization allows a choice made in one AI chat to be reflected in another tool, such as an IDE agent, maintaining continuity and reducing the need to repeatedly explain project details. Users can open a new chat and instantly inject the full project context, streamlining workflows and minimizing repetitive communication.

Relay's MCP integration enables coding agents to both read and write project memory, ensuring that updates and progress are shared seamlessly between browser-based chats and IDE environments. The tool supports a range of agents and platforms, including but not limited to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, VS Code (Copilot), Trae, Antigravity, Zed, Continue, Aider, Amp, Void, Cline, Roo, Code Augment, Kilo Code, Copilot (CLI), and Amazon Q. Relay offers a free tier with basic features, allowing users to organize two projects and capture context from supported AI chats and coding agents. Paid plans include the Starter plan, which supports up to five projects and is aimed at daily AI tool users, and the Pro plan, which increases project limits and automation capabilities for heavy users. Pricing is presented as monthly or yearly subscriptions, with early users retaining their initial rates during beta. Relay is delivered as a Chrome extension and through integrations with IDE agents, providing a solution for managing project context across AI and development environments.
