Free Offline MGRS GPS & Military Land Navigation, also known as Red Grid MGRS, is a mobile application designed to provide military-grade land navigation and mapping capabilities directly on iOS and Android devices. It offers a DAGR-class MGRS navigator that operates fully offline, requiring no cell service, accounts, or tracking, and delivers live 10-digit MGRS coordinates with one-meter precision. The app is intended for users who require precise navigation in environments without network infrastructure, such as military personnel, law enforcement, search and rescue teams, first responders, hunters, overlanders, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Key features include live MGRS coordinates (supporting 4/6/8/10-digit grids), waypoint storage with bearing and distance calculations, magnetic declination using the World Magnetic Model, and support for multiple coordinate formats. The platform enables full offline operation, including the ability to download tactical map tiles in three styles—standard, dark tactical, and topographic with contour lines—for use without any network connection. Users can pair the app with Meshtastic radios over Bluetooth Low Energy to view mesh node positions and send their current grid location over LoRa, facilitating communication and position sharing in off-grid scenarios.
