ReadLocker is a digital notebook for capturing, organizing, and managing web content such as articles, text selections, YouTube videos and their AI-generated summaries, PDF files and their summaries, and URLs. It functions as a personal knowledge base that combines bookmarking, note taking, and reading-later capabilities, allowing users to save material for later review at their own pace.

Users can edit saved items by highlighting key points, adding comments, and inserting personal notes. The service supports creating standalone notes, applying tags for organization, and performing full-text searches across the collection. AI features include generating text summaries for YouTube videos and PDFs, producing itineraries, plans, outlines, and other derived content from notes, and an assistant that answers natural-language questions about the stored material with the ability to filter responses by tags.

Delivery occurs through a web platform, browser extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, and an Android app. The extensions enable one-click capture of entire webpages, selected snippets, YouTube videos or summaries, or URLs directly into the knowledge base. The Android app provides equivalent functionality for reading, managing, and capturing content on mobile devices, including sharing from other apps or browsers.

Data control is emphasized through daily automatic backups to a user's own Google Drive account, with no external access permitted. Import is supported from HTML or text files, including Pocket exports, and the entire collection can be exported at any time.
