Public Todo List

Public Todo List is Brian Batt’s public todo list service. It lets a person create a list with a name that becomes the list title and profile URL, then add tasks that can be shared through a public link. The page text also frames it as a way to view and manage shared todo lists.

The list editor accepts plain text only, with no URLs, emojis, or scripts. A login hash is generated once when a list is created, and the user is told to copy and save it for later access. The interface includes login and create-list flows, and the text says that the owner hash is persisted in sessionStorage. Public viewing is read-only: checkboxes are disabled for visitors, and the site says visitors cannot check items. The list page also shows a completed-items count, with the count set from the list when it loads.
