Palmier

Palmier is a free, open source system for running AI agents on a user’s own computer and controlling them from a phone. It is meant for people who already use AI subscriptions such as Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus, since it works with those subscriptions and does not require extra API keys, extra accounts, or per-token costs from Palmier.

The service lets users start or schedule tasks, check progress, review results, and respond to agent requests without being at the computer. It also supports tasks that run on demand, on a schedule, or in response to events such as a push notification. Palmier installs supported agent command-line interfaces on the computer during setup, and it includes a built-in password manager that saves a site password once, fills it into the browser, and keeps it encrypted on the user’s machine. Agents can also be given access, by choice, to phone features including location, calendar, contacts, notifications, SMS, and sending email.

Palmier offers several ways to connect to agents. Local use is available in a browser on the same computer at localhost:7256 with no pairing or Palmier server connection required. It also provides a web app that can be paired with a code and installed to a home screen, with web push notifications, and an Android app that can be paired with a code. The Android app unlocks additional phone capabilities and supports automatic LAN connections for lower latency on the same network. An iOS app is coming soon. Setup begins with a guided wizard run from a single command on the computer, and the platform uses native schedulers on Linux, Windows, and macOS.

Palmier says agents run on the user’s hardware rather than its own, and that user data stays on the user’s machine. No sign-up is required.
