The plugin operates by matching incoming requests against a list of known AI and LLM crawler user-agent patterns. For each detected bot visit, it records specific details: the UTC time of the request, the bot's name, the page path accessed, an anonymized IP address (with the last octet of IPv4 addresses zeroed and IPv6 addresses shortened), and the full user-agent string. This information is stored locally in the site's WordPress database, with no data sent externally. The plugin does not track real human visitors unless their user-agent string is spoofed to mimic a bot, in which case they may be logged as well.
