Open Source Prompt CMS

Agentsmith is an open source prompt content management system (CMS) designed to assist prompt engineers and developers in building, refining, and deploying AI agents. The platform addresses the need for centralized prompt authoring, versioning, and deployment, enabling users to manage their AI prompts and configurations efficiently. Agentsmith offers an intuitive interface for designing and authoring prompts, with features that support variables, versioning, and auto-detection of variables within prompts.

The tool provides a Studio environment where users can test prompts with different models and inputs, allowing for iterative refinement to optimize performance. Additional capabilities include syncing prompts to repositories, integrating them into codebases, and monitoring usage directly within the Studio. Agentsmith supports features such as typed prompts, a unified API, and Git handoff for streamlined development workflows. The platform also enables side-by-side comparison of prompt versions and allows prompts to be configured as "user" or "system" messages, or as non-chat prompts. An Auto-Author feature is available to generate improved prompt versions based on best practices, previous outputs, and human feedback.

It is available with multiple pricing plans: a Free plan for personal projects with limits on prompts, users, projects, and log retention; a Hobby plan for small projects with increased limits and access to metrics and analytics; a Pro plan for professional teams offering unlimited prompts and users, expanded project and log capacity, and priority support; and an Enterprise plan for large-scale applications, featuring custom integrations, single sign-on, dedicated support, and unlimited log retention. There is also a self-hosted option available, as referenced in the documentation.
