OfficeCLI

OfficeCLI is an AI document generation tool that produces native PPTX, DOCX, XLSX, reports, and images from natural language prompts. It addresses the need for intent-based creation of office files instead of manual formatting through ribbons and templates.

The system offers three interfaces that share one generation engine: a scriptable command-line interface invoked with commands such as officecli new pptx, an interactive terminal TUI started by running officecli, and the OfficeDex desktop application for users who prefer a graphical surface. All three surfaces support the same workflow of describing intent and receiving native OOXML outputs without boilerplate or manual layout adjustments. The tool implements a paradigm called VibeOfficing, modeled after conversational coding, in which prompts drive an AI-native workspace that manages formatting, memory, and export.

OfficeCLI incorporates a memory component that ingests scanned physical documents, Markdown notes, existing Word reports, meeting transcripts, spreadsheets, and reference images. This input allows generated documents to reflect the user's established style and habits rather than generic AI defaults. The architecture centers on three elements labeled Memory, Format, and Agent.

It operates in two modes. External Mode permits free unlimited generation when the user supplies their own LLM endpoint. Hosted Mode relies on OfficeCLI-managed runtime and consumes hosted credits. The entire system ships as a single dependency-free binary.
