NPB+

NPB+ is an officially recognized professional baseball live data application, developed under the authorization of the Nippon Professional Baseball Organization (NPB) for fans of Japanese baseball. Designed to provide real-time updates and advanced tracking, the app delivers detailed play-by-play information that goes beyond traditional pitch-by-pitch reports, making it a comprehensive resource for following the Japanese professional baseball leagues.

A central feature of NPB+ is its use of Hawk Eye Innovations tracking technology, allowing users to visualize and access data on ball and player movements that were previously unavailable in standard live updates. The app displays real-time statistics such as pitch speed, spin rate, vertical and horizontal movement, batted ball distance, exit velocity, launch angle, and the highest point reached by a hit. Users can view 3D replay animations depicting the trajectory of the ball, the movements of fielders, and the process leading to hits or outs, offering a deeper understanding of each play.

NPB+ provides comprehensive information on all players from the 12 teams in the Central and Pacific Leagues, as well as players from farm teams. It includes daily performance statistics, season and monthly records, and advanced tracking data for both pitchers and batters. The app also features individual player rankings based on metrics such as maximum pitch speed, average fastball speed, spin rate, exit velocity, and more. Fans can register up to ten favorite players to quickly check their daily results and see their standings in ranking tables.

The app covers a wide range of official and exhibition games, including all regular season, All-Star, postseason, and select international matches such as the World Baseball Classic. Users receive daily news updates and exclusive columns about professional baseball. NPB+ is available for download on supported smartphones, with some devices not compatible. Data usage fees are the responsibility of the user. The app is developed and managed by the NPB+ Production Committee, and it utilizes official NPB DMP data.
