MotoVault supports over 12,000 motorcycle models sourced from the NHTSA Vehicle Product Information Catalog database, covering a broad range of makes and models from the past three decades.

The app provides several key features: riders can plan multi-day routes with typed waypoints such as fuel stops, scenic points, overnight locations, and pass summits, using real road routing. Routes can be exported in GPX format or shared via Google Maps. For maintenance, MotoVault allows users to log service events like oil changes and tire swaps, with mileage- or time-based reminders to help ensure timely upkeep. The platform also tracks expenses for fuel, parts, gear, and insurance, providing monthly breakdowns and cost-per-mile analytics to give users insight into the true cost of ownership. Ride logging is included, with GPS route recording, speed, distance, and elevation statistics, enabling riders to review their riding history and share highlights.

A distinguishing feature of MotoVault is its AI diagnostics capability, powered by the Claude AI vision model from Anthropic. By opening the diagnostic camera in the app and snapping a photo of a part, warning light, or area of concern, riders receive an instant analysis that identifies the issue, assesses severity, and recommends next steps. The AI cross-references known failure modes for the specific motorcycle make and model, delivers results in seconds, and provides a confidence rating for each diagnosis. No OBD hardware is required for diagnostics.

MotoVault is free to use for its core features, including one motorcycle in the garage, full maintenance tracking, expense logging, ride recording, trip planning, and one AI diagnostic scan per month. An optional Pro subscription, priced at $4 per month or $36 per year, unlocks unlimited AI scans, advanced analytics, unlimited GPX exports, priority route processing, and extended ride statistics. The app is available in multiple languages and is designed for ease of use, even while wearing gloves on the road.
