WPMgr

WPMgr is an open-source WordPress fleet manager and self-hostable control plane for managing one site or a whole portfolio. It is built for running WordPress infrastructure from a single dashboard on infrastructure the operator owns, with the stated goal that fleet data never leaves the user’s server.

Its core functions include backups and restore, updates, uptime monitoring, image optimization, database cleaning, and site locking. The backup tools support scheduled full and incremental backups and point-in-time restore. Media Optimization re-encodes images to AVIF and WebP in the cloud, serves formats according to browser support, archives originals on the site, and allows images to be reverted with one click. The database cleaner scans for orphaned data, trends health over 90 days, and can act across the whole fleet. Monitoring covers uptime, response time, incident history, TLS expiry warnings, and PHP fatal tracking, with alerts sent by email or webhook. It also offers full-page caching, asset optimization, unused CSS removal, minification, defer and lazy-load handling, WOFF2 font transcoding and subsetting, and WooCommerce cart-session caching. Real User Monitoring tracks Core Web Vitals with 28-day trends and per-URL and per-device breakdowns, and it is anonymous and off by default.

The interface includes a live fleet overview with status, uptime signals, active incidents, latency, SSL expiry, backup health, and server-side screenshots refreshed weekly or on demand. Sites connect with a one-time code and stay verifiably connected. WPMgr also includes one-click wp-admin login without shared passwords, a distinction between unreachable and idle sites, and user roles from owner to viewer, plus single-site sharing.

It is delivered as a self-hosted product and is described as open source. The control plane is AGPL licensed, the agent is MIT licensed, and the project invites forks and contributions. A free start is offered, and the page states that there is no paid tier required.
