Migratik

wordpress.org·Developer Tools

Migratik is a WordPress plugin that exports an entire site into a single JSON file for migration to other platforms. It addresses the need to transfer content, structure, and SEO-related data from a live WordPress installation without altering the original site.

The plugin captures every published article, page, service, and custom post type. For each item it records rendered content_html with executed builder shortcodes and blocks alongside the original content_raw. It also includes the title, document_title from the theme-rendered HTML title tag, slug, permalink for 301 redirects, excerpt, publish and modified dates, menu order, and parent information. Featured images are stored with their URL, alt text, and dimensions, as are all in-content images with src and alt attributes. Internal links and additional SEO signals are preserved in the output file.

It was initially created to migrate a live site built with WPBakery to a Next.js and Supabase stack and later released as a general-purpose tool. The process is read-only, producing the JSON export while leaving the WordPress site unchanged. It supports any builder and works with standard post types as well as custom ones.

Migratik is delivered as a free plugin available through the official WordPress.org directory. It is developed by Hossam Hamdy.
