Mango

Mango is a native graphical user interface for MongoDB, designed to offer fast and efficient database management without reliance on web views or heavy runtimes. Aimed at users who need to browse, query, and manage MongoDB databases, Mango provides a streamlined experience by compiling TypeScript to native machine code using Perry, resulting in a lightweight binary with minimal RAM usage and quick startup times.

The tool includes a range of features for interacting with MongoDB. Users can save and organize connection profiles, with support for host and port configurations, connection strings, SCRAM-SHA-256 authentication, and TLS. Mango's query builder allows users to write filters, sort, and project data, leveraging MongoDB's full query language for instant results on any collection. Document editing is supported through inline viewing, editing, insertion, deletion, and duplication, with changes saved directly to the database. The collection browser provides navigation across databases and collections, displaying key statistics such as document counts, storage size, and index information. An index viewer lists all indexes, showing their keys, uniqueness constraints, and sizes to help users understand data access patterns.

Mango is available as a native application for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android, running on both ARM64 and x86_64 architectures. The interface adapts to system appearance, offering both dark and light modes. The software is distributed as a compact binary, approximately 7 MB in size, and is open source under the MIT License. Users can download precompiled binaries or build Mango from source. The project is maintained by Skelpo GmbH.
