Lux Cloud

Lux Cloud is a managed application database built on the Lux engine. It is described as one Rust engine for tables, cache, vectors, auth, realtime, queues, and time series, with the aim of keeping application state together instead of splitting it across multiple services.

The product includes typed tables with indexes, joins, foreign keys, migrations, and a fluent SDK. It also provides Redis-compatible cache and key-value operations for sessions, rate limits, counters, feature flags, and other ephemeral data. Additional primitives include realtime pub/sub for key changes and channels, vector storage and search for semantic retrieval and agent memory, queues for jobs and workflows, and time series features for metrics and temporal events with retention, aggregation, labels, and direct query access. Authentication is built in through app users, sessions, JWTs, OAuth providers, and project-aware access. The service also supports browser, serverless, and edge access through an HTTP API, plus cloud gateway keys and user sessions.

Lux Cloud is aimed at product teams. Its project interface lets users create a project, copy SDK keys, run migrations, and watch logs. The same page says it can be used with the project SDK for Cloud apps, Redis-compatible clients for direct protocol access, HTTP for edge and serverless calls, and the CLI for migrations and operations. Examples on the page show support for TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Ruby, Java, .NET, and BullMQ.

The managed product is priced at $10 per month per project and includes tables, auth, cache, vectors, realtime, queues, time series, storage, snapshots, logs, and dashboard access. A 14-day free trial is offered without a credit card. The Lux runtime is open source, MIT licensed, written in Rust, Redis-compatible, WAL-backed, snapshot-capable, and self-hostable.
