Lieblings-Wunschliste is a web-based service for creating and sharing digital wishlists. It addresses the need for a simple, private, and ad-free way to organize gift ideas for occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and holidays without requiring registration or personal data.

Users create a new wishlist instantly and receive a shareable link. The list can be distributed via WhatsApp, email, messenger, or as a printed QR code on invitations. Guests open the link without accounts, logins, or app downloads and view all items. The service is fully responsive and works on smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers with touch-friendly controls and drag-and-drop sorting.

A coordination feature lets recipients mark an item as fulfilled. Other guests see the update immediately and avoid duplicate gifts, while the list creator does not see any markings to preserve surprise. Wishlists can be personalized with multiple themes including standard, Christmas, birthday, wedding, and baby, plus one of six accent colors. The title, date, and occasion remain editable at any time.

A browser extension for Chrome and Firefox allows adding products from any online shop with one click. The extension automatically captures the product title, image, and price. The service stores all data encrypted on servers in Germany and complies with GDPR. It performs no tracking, uses no third-party analytics or advertising, and collects email addresses only optionally for link recovery. The entire codebase is open source under the AGPL license and available on GitLab, with self-hosting supported via Docker.
