LessonCrumb tracks YouTube playlist courses and helps people keep their place as they work through them. It turns a playlist into a course record, saving what has been watched and showing where to resume, both on the web and directly inside YouTube.

The service tracks watched videos, overall progress, and the next unwatched video in a playlist. Its web dashboard shows a live progress bar and percentage for each course, moves completed courses into a separate section automatically, and lets a user resume in one click. It also logs the real time spent watching, offers a focus mode to hide courses that are not being actively worked on, and supports import and export of course history as JSON. The browser extension adds a checkbox next to each video on YouTube playlist pages, a progress bar at the top of playlist pages, and an overlay on the YouTube homepage that shows course progress.

LessonCrumb is described for learners who use YouTube playlists as coding courses, language lessons, or fitness series. It can be used by pasting a playlist URL into the dashboard or by using the extension on the playlist page itself. The extension works offline, stores data in the browser, and syncs with the web dashboard when signed in with Google; the site also says progress can sync across devices, and that no account is required for the extension.
