The software provides a range of features tailored to the needs of municipal courts. Users can quickly locate cases using a search screen that supports queries by defendant name, case number, citation number, and other fields. JCS enables electronic transfer of information to state motor vehicle departments, outside collections agencies, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation through RAPID. It also offers an electronic interface for importing tickets from various e-ticket vendors. The platform supports municipal courts in Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Oregon, and its tabbed screens are designed to make accessing case details and performing tasks straightforward.

JCS includes an offense table with standard state traffic offenses and allows customization for local ordinances. Automated compliance processing helps manage cases of failure to appear and failure to pay. The software's case management capabilities cover tracking offenses, dispositions, judge’s notes, hearings, warrants, suspensions, and payments. Users can generate and print a variety of auto-generated documents, such as notices to appear, payment agreements, subpoenas, warrants, and case entry forms. The document templates and lists can be modified to meet specific customer requirements.

For reporting, JCS provides comprehensive and customizable reports, including court dockets, daily and monthly receipts, charge disposition reports, warrant status, suspension lists, and state-mandated reports for Kansas and Oklahoma. The reports are designed to fulfill all reporting requirements and can be adjusted based on the needs of the court. Training is available either remotely or on-site with staff experienced in court operations, and customer service is highlighted as a key aspect of the offering.
