Inkwell is a keyboard-first, industry-standard screenplay editor for macOS that works completely offline and stores files locally. It supports Fountain and Final Draft (.fdx) formats and includes a built-in AI assistant called Quill. Quill only activates when asked, offers suggestions and brainstorming help, and presents changes as editable diffs that the writer must approve. The app emphasizes writer control, privacy, and professional formatting tools.
