Extracted tasks can be sent to external apps like Notion, Obsidian, or Tana, and output can be directed to Apple Reminders or copied to the clipboard. Watched Folders enable automation by triggering actions when files are added, supporting both images and audio.

Inbox AI is compatible with over 13 AI providers, including Claude, GPT, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, xAI, and supports running local models like Ollama and LM Studio directly on the Mac. Users can bring their own API keys or use free on-device AI. The application offers advanced integration options, such as triggering macOS Shortcuts, sending API requests, running terminal commands, and connecting to Model Context Protocol servers for access to databases, APIs, and file systems. It also integrates with tools like Raycast and PopClip, and supports web search through Brave Search.
