HookGrabber

HookGrabber is a webhook inspector and debugger built for developers who need to see what webhook providers actually send. It creates a unique URL for an endpoint, accepts incoming webhooks there, and shows requests as they arrive in real time. The service also supports replaying captured requests and forwarding them to a local server or another target URL.

Its core workflow is simple: create an endpoint, point any webhook provider at it, then inspect the incoming traffic. HookGrabber displays every header, query parameter, and body exactly as received, with JSON pretty-printed automatically. It supports any HTTP method, including GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE. Requests can be replayed to a local server or a staging URL without triggering the original event again.

The tool includes endpoint controls and request filtering. Endpoints can be enabled or disabled, and disabled endpoints return a silent 404. Requests can be searched and filtered by body content or path, with case-insensitive matching, and narrowed by HTTP method. It also offers HMAC signature verification: a webhook signing secret can be entered and the service checks whether each request signature is valid, with support for GitHub and generic HMAC-SHA256. Real-time inspection is delivered via WebSocket, with no polling or page refreshes.

HookGrabber is available as a web service and is in beta. Pricing includes a free plan at $0 per month and a Pro plan at $15 per month, or $12 per month when billed annually. The free plan includes three endpoints and two days of request retention; the Pro plan includes 20 endpoints and 30 days of retention, along with webhook forwarding rules, delivery logs, and REST API access for managing endpoints and fetching request data. Sign-in is available with GitHub, and no credit card is required to start on the free plan.
