Swimma

Swimma is a mobile application designed to provide adaptive swim training plans for triathlon swimmers, particularly those participating in events at or above sprint distance and swimming 750 meters or more in open water. The platform uses an algorithm powered by artificial intelligence to analyze individual performance data and adjust training plans weekly, offering a personalized coaching experience similar to that of a human coach.

The app connects directly with Garmin devices, automatically extracting metrics such as heart rate, stroke rate, distance, and efficiency from completed training sessions. This data feeds into Swimma’s algorithm, which reviews the swimmer’s progress and adapts the training plan accordingly—making workouts more challenging for those outperforming the plan, or easing them for those showing signs of fatigue. The performance dashboard provides key insights, and the system can issue warnings when data indicates a heightened risk of overtraining or injury.

Swimma is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Integration with Garmin watches is a core feature, enabling seamless data transfer and plan adaptation without manual input. The app is targeted initially at triathlon swimmers but indicates plans to expand its audience in the future.

Access to Swimma is offered through a subscription model at £6 per month, which grants full functionality and access to all available training plans, from sprint triathlons up to Ironman distances. Users can cancel their subscription at any time. The service is provided by SWIMMA Ltd.
