Glowcast App is a native macOS application designed to enhance screen sharing and live presentations, particularly for developers and presenters. The tool provides a range of features aimed at improving focus and clarity during demos, including screen annotation, cursor highlighting, spotlight effects, and zooming capabilities. Its functionality is tailored for use cases such as architecture walkthroughs, live coding, tutorials, and sales demonstrations, where drawing attention to specific on-screen elements and maintaining audience engagement are critical.

Among its core features, Glowcast allows users to draw over any screen using pens, highlighters, text, and shapes, with support for undo, clear, and optional auto-erase actions. The cursor can be highlighted with customizable rings or squircles, making it easier for viewers to follow along. The spotlight function dims the rest of the screen except for a cursor-centered area, while zoom tools include both a magnifying glass and true region zoom. Users can dim or blur inactive windows to keep the audience focused on the main application, and sensitive information can be hidden by drawing a shape to blur or pixelize specific regions. Keystroke display shows key presses on screen for tutorials and demos, with customizable position and themes, and it never captures input in password fields.

Glowcast also includes on-screen timers, such as a stopwatch and countdown, which can be set to be visible only to the presenter or to everyone. The Ghost Notes feature provides a private notepad window for the presenter, supporting rich text for talking points and reminders, invisible to the audience. The Desktop Mat function covers the desktop with a fullscreen overlay, hiding files, folders, and widgets, and can be customized with wallpaper, color, image, or blur. All actions in Glowcast can be triggered with global keyboard shortcuts, which are configurable within the app.

The application runs on macOS 13 (Ventura) and later, and is compatible with platforms such as Zoom, Meet, Keynote, OBS, and Teams. Glowcast is available through a subscription model with a single plan that includes all features, offering a 7-day free trial followed by a monthly fee.
