Freight Tools

Freight Tools is a set of free freight and shipping calculators with reference material for common international shipping tasks. It brings together tools for CBM, volumetric weight, chargeable weight, freight class, container loading, pallet planning, and Incoterms 2020 in one place. The site describes the calculators as free, fast, and available without sign-up.

Its calculation tools cover shipment volume and load planning as well as billing and classification. The CBM calculator finds cubic meters from L × W × H × quantity and accepts measurements in cm, mm, in, or ft. Container Loading estimates how many cartons fit in a 20ft, 40ft, or 40HC container, while the Pallet Calculator estimates cartons per pallet and pallets per container by footprint fit. For freight pricing and classification, Volumetric Weight calculates dimensional weight from shipment size and the carrier divisor, Chargeable Weight returns the greater of actual and volumetric weight, and Freight Class gives a density-based NMFC freight class from weight and dimensions.

The reference section includes Incoterms 2020 guidance covering all 11 terms, including who pays, who insures, and where risk transfers.
