PixelToPath

PixelToPath is an online image vectorization tool that converts raster images into SVG format. It addresses the need to transform pixel-based files such as logos, illustrations, and photographs into scalable vector graphics that maintain quality at any resolution.

The service accepts PNG, JPG, BMP, and WebP images up to 20 MB. Users drag and drop files or paste directly from the clipboard. A live preview updates instantly as parameters change, with no convert button required. Three presets optimize results for different content: B&W for logos, icons, line art, and engraving; Poster for flat illustrations, infographics, clipart, and diagrams; and Photo for portraits, landscapes, product shots, and complex images with gradients. Advanced settings allow adjustment of color mode, color precision, layer difference, hierarchical or stacked cutout options, inversion, curve fitting via Spline, Polygon, or Pixel tracing, and filtering thresholds for speckle, corner, length, splice, and path precision.

Output SVG files follow standard specifications and can be opened in design applications such as Illustrator, Inkscape, or Figma. The vectors support editing of individual paths and colors without quality loss, embedding in websites for resolution-independent display and faster loading, printing at any scale from business cards to billboards, use with laser cutters and vinyl plotters including LightBurn, Cricut Design Space, and RDWorks, creation of scalable app and web icons for frameworks like React and Vue, and animation through CSS and JavaScript. Files process on the server and are deleted immediately after conversion; no images are stored, logged, or shared.

PixelToPath operates as a free online tool with no registration, watermarks, or daily limits. It is an open-source project released under the MIT license. A desktop application is available for offline use with larger files and batch processing. The interface supports multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and others.
