YoRecord

YoRecord is a free online screen recorder that runs entirely in the browser. It lets users record video from a tab, window, screen, or webcam, add a draggable camera overlay, generate AI subtitles, edit the result, and export an MP4 or share a link, all without signup, download, or account creation.

Recording begins by selecting the capture source and optionally enabling the webcam as a floating bubble. Once stopped, the editor opens immediately with the video loaded. Users can trim sections, adjust playback speed, split content into chapters, and add subtitles with one click. The subtitles are produced by sending only the audio for transcription; the resulting text can be edited word by word directly in the editor. Captions are burned into the exported video so the content remains readable when played without sound.

The entire recording, editing, and rendering process occurs on the user's device. Videos remain in a local browser library unless the user explicitly creates a share link, which triggers an upload of that single video. Subtitle generation is the only other case in which data leaves the device, and only the audio is sent. The tool works on desktop Chrome, Edge, and Chromebooks, including school and IT-managed laptops.

YoRecord addresses quick video needs such as bug reports, team feedback, tutorials, candidate introduction videos, and any situation where someone asks to send a quick video. It is offered completely free for recording, editing, subtitle generation, and export, with the single limitation that free exports include a small YoRecord watermark. No installation or account is required at any step.
