Folio

Folio is a personal project dashboard for freelancers, students, and indie creators who need to keep multiple projects under control. It is an offline-first project tracker with built-in AI, and it is available on Google Play, with iOS coming soon.

The app includes an AI Assistant that works in 9 languages. By default, the assistant cannot see any projects or tasks, and nothing leaves the device. Users can turn on AI Project Access in Settings for context-aware help such as prioritizing work or planning a week around deadlines; when enabled, the AI can see project names, progress percentages, and status, but not task content or notes. Chat history is saved so conversations can continue later.

Folio also offers an Ideas tab where a user describes a goal in plain language and receives 4 project ideas with names and descriptions. Choosing one lets the AI build a full project with tasks, subtasks, and notes, and add it to the home screen. Inside a project, the AI can generate tasks with subtasks from the project name and description, and it can reprioritize pending tasks in one tap. The task system supports two levels of hierarchy, drag-and-drop reordering, notes, links, flags, recurrence, and a 48-hour trash with one-tap undo. It also includes a monthly calendar with deadline dots, three-tier status coloring, reminders 1, 3, or 7 days before deadlines, reusable templates, daily streak tracking, theme and view options, customizable notifications, and PDF export of projects with tasks, progress, and deadlines.

Folio starts for free with no credit card needed, but subscribing is required to unlock everything. The page also describes cloud backup that syncs automatically every 5 seconds when active, while noting that the app works 100% without internet.
