DBCheck

dbcheck.top·Infrastructure

DBCheck is an open-source, cross-platform platform designed for intelligent inspection and real-time monitoring of databases. It addresses the operational needs of database administrators (DBAs) and operations teams by automating routine inspection tasks, aiming to make database maintenance more transparent, controllable, and proactive. The platform supports 12 types of mainstream and domestic databases and is built to help prevent issues by exposing potential risks such as connection, session, tablespace, replication, and lock wait problems before they escalate.

Key features of DBCheck include over 160 enhanced inspection rules, a real-time monitoring dashboard, and local AI-powered diagnostics. The monitoring dashboard displays metrics such as throughput, connection count, response latency, and port availability by instance, with updates pushed every 30 seconds using flask-socketio. Users can view historical trends, connection and slow query heatmaps, and export data to CSV.

AI-driven diagnostics are available both offline—using a local Ollama backend to keep data on-premises—and via cloud providers such as OpenAI and DeepSeek. The system allows natural language inspection requests through a built-in AI panel, and features a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) knowledge base that can vectorize uploaded PDF, Word, or Markdown documents to retrieve best practices during diagnostics. For Oracle databases, users can upload AWR reports for immediate parsing and structured reporting with AI-generated recommendations.

DBCheck generates professional inspection reports in Word or PDF format, automatically masking sensitive information such as IP addresses, ports, and account details. Reports can be customized per database type, dynamically generated, and shared via links with access controls and statistics. Scheduled inspections and automated report delivery via email or webhook are also supported, enabling unattended operation. The platform is delivered through a web interface and supports private deployment. It is released under the MIT open-source license.
