Mobile Money for WooCommerce is a plugin designed to connect WooCommerce stores with mobile payment services including M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and MTN MoMo. It targets small and growing businesses, particularly in Africa, by enabling direct payments from customers’ mobile wallets to merchant accounts, with no intermediaries involved. The plugin automates order completion as soon as payment is confirmed, removing the need for manual checks or intervention.

Key features include out-of-the-box integration with M-Pesa, Airtel Money, MTN MoMo, and planned support for Orange Money. The plugin offers a modern checkout interface with a tabbed panel for each provider, automatic phone number formatting by region, and real-time callback processing. When a customer completes a payment, the respective provider notifies the store instantly, prompting the plugin to validate the transaction and update the order status automatically. Dynamic status polling ensures that the order status is updated on the Order Received page without requiring a page refresh.

For store administrators, a dedicated transaction dashboard displays all payment attempts—successful, failed, or cancelled—along with raw provider responses. Transactions can be filtered by phone number, date range, or provider, and exported to CSV files for reconciliation. The plugin is fully compatible with WooCommerce’s High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) architecture, supporting fast performance even during high transaction volumes.

Mobile Money for WooCommerce is available in both free and paid versions. org, supports manual confirmation for payments through M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and MTN MoMo. The Pro version, offered as a monthly or annual subscription, adds automated STK Push and callback handling, dynamic status polling, a transaction dashboard, CSV export, sandbox mode, and priority support. Pricing for the Pro plan is set at KES 600 per month or KES 6,900 per year, with no setup fees or per-transaction charges.
