Extension Info Exporter is an open-source WordPress plugin designed for agencies, developers, and site administrators who require detailed inventory management, audit reports, and data exports of WordPress plugins. The tool addresses the need for precise and customizable plugin data exports, offering professional-grade features for managing real WordPress sites.

The plugin enables users to export plugin information in five different formats: CSV, JSON, XML, TXT, and PDF. Each export can be filtered by plugin status, including all plugins, only active plugins, only inactive plugins, or those needing updates. Users can select from 11 data fields, such as plugin name, version, author, status, required WordPress and PHP versions, and update status, with plugin name always included and other fields toggleable. Advanced export filtering allows targeting specific subsets of plugins, and smart filename templates use dynamic variables for organized, auto-named files with live preview functionality.

Extension Info Exporter integrates with WordPress's native update checks to flag outdated plugins, presenting current and latest versions side by side in exports. The dashboard provides real-time statistics and interactive charts for a comprehensive overview of the plugin ecosystem, including must-use plugins, which are exported as a separate category with dedicated statistics.

Automation features include scheduled exports and professional HTML email reports delivered via WP-Cron, with customizable frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly) and export type. Users can test email delivery before enabling the schedule, and reports can be sent to any valid email address, supporting workflows for individual users, clients, or teams.

Security and privacy are emphasized through nonce verification for export actions, data sanitization compliant with PHPCS standards, and zero tracking by default. If users opt in to anonymous telemetry, all transmitted data is encrypted using AES-256-CBC. 0+ environments.
